We’re a family-run restaurant in Newark, started as a father-and-son’s dream to make fine dining feel warm, relaxed, and fun.
Everything we serve is made with care, using the best local ingredients we can get our hands on, from hand-butchered steak to our playful ‘Liquid Malteser’ finish. Whether you’re in the mood to talk to the team, ask about the wine, or just enjoy a quiet meal together, we’ll make sure you feel looked after.

We don't turn tables. If you want to stretch dessert into three glasses of wine and an espresso, go for it. We're not waiting for the next booking.

You don't need to be an expert. Ask us anything. We'll explain the menu, talk you through the wine, and make sure you feel looked after, not tested.

Can we really stay as long as we want?
Yes. The table's yours. No time limit, Enjoy as long as you like.
What if I don't know much about wine or fancy food?
Perfect. Neither did half our regulars when they first came. We'll talk you through everything in plain English. Whether it’s your first fine dining experience or your fiftieth, we’ll guide you through.
Can we book for a group or a celebration?
Absolutely. We've got three private spaces, including a wine cellar and our newly refurbished potting shed, or you can take over the entire restaurant. No hire fee, just great food and your own room. For tables of 9 or more just gove usa call so we can understand what you would like.
